we are for real

OK. Don't know if I am doing this correctly, but thought we might share a space to reconnect, inspire each other to get moving, and all that jazz. I am already fired up about Milligan's musical suggestions, Guise's book title (headed to the library) and the idea that we will all be training together...at least, on line.

Gonna log 4 miles today--run, walk, crawl--whatever it takes.

  1. OK, team. Now I'm a believer! Just ran my first 2 miles (in 4 segments, with errands in between) and felt fine. Even the heel felt okay. And I'm committed to stretching and icing -- just bought a fresh bag of frozen peas along my route.

    The playlist I sent earlier is now in my iPhone with the label "VB Mix," and I'm having thoughts of all of you with every step. Gotta love the line, "Shake it, shake-shake-shake it, shake it like a polaroid picture..." (Hey Ya!) Would be great to warm up to! Also can't get enough of the Flaming Lips' lyrics.

    Who else has an update? It's so motivating to know the rest of you are in on this.

  2. Managed to jog--slowly--2.5 miles one day this week and did the elliptical today. I committed to moving more and stretching. I registered for the race!
